  • Being Creative

One think I hate about the web 2.0 is every site looks the same… Keeping track with your creativity is a key component to be different than every company out there.

I admire everybody who puts an extra effort on developping a good idea BEFORE starting their website or branding. Remember, ideas sell much more than nice layouts. If you make lovely websites, your site must represent what you do. Many of them put alot of effort into making something different.

I visited the site of a compay called “magicsocket” no long ago. They specialize in Adobe Flash Development. The site itself has a typical design. The racing track is well done, but theres nothing too special other than that. They probably started with the slogan “We break for nobody” which ended up in the making of a racing game right in the homepage.

    Good job guys!

  • Marketing: TV vs. Print vs. Internet

Here comes a good question: “What’s the best media these days for marketers?” Is it TV? No, must be Print? Well, nothings beats the Net, right?

Many of you will say, well it depends of the project it self and the public target. It’s true… Still, it’s always very important to know what are the forces of those media. iWeb, my hosting company released a good article on this subject.

  • Mobile Web Design

The mobile industry is growing very fast and I think it’s important for everyone working in the web industry to have a good general knowledge about the mobile world and it’s internet capabilities. I wanted to have the big picture of the mobile web industry, it’s goods, it’s cons, etc. Learning about the capabilities…

Cameron Moll wrote a book not long ago called Mobile Web Design. After giving it a good read, I wanted to let you know about the reason of why I bought it and how it answered the questions I had.

It answered perfectly my needs. Gave me a good crash course without going too much in details, I’m now ready to start any kind of mobile website. I know where to get the resource and tools!

I suggest to this book to everyone who’s looking for a good crash course about the Mobile Web Design industry.
