• Today’s mood.

I’ve been working home since I stopped working at OLA. Freelancing is always interesting for everybody working in the industry. I’ve always wondered what it would be like. Meeting people, developing new relations, etc. If something goes wrong, you can’t blame it on the new guy.

The down side is, since I love working and interacting with people, sometimes I feel lonely at home. I took this photo this morning and it represents how I felt. It’s now time to work and work in a internet coffee.

  • Super Car Museums

May not be graphic design, or any related to the web, but I think inspiration comes from a lot outside of the office. Check out those super car museums, their just pieces of art.

  • Original Source

Original Source’s website is a great experience! Interactive and very well made.

From a design perspective to the general flow, the ideas and concept is well done. I don’t often see a well balanced website, but this one is a perfect example!

  • Back from the Himalayas!

It’s good to be back… Is it? It’s really hard for me to accept that I’m finished with this great adventure.

The whole thing was just great. On of the best experiences of my life. Those Sherpa’s really know how to take care of us. I could make one post a day, one page long for a year telling stories about what we’ve been threw… I’ll stick to photos, like I always do!

You can visit my flickr album sets to view them. It was really hard to go from a conservative 1329 to 87 shots. No need to quantity, I just wanted to highlight some of the best landscape out there. I went to alot of trouble bringing my SLR up there. When I saw those discovery film makers, carrying 100 pounds cameras on their shoulders, I stopped complaining.

    Enjoy!

  • Leaving for Nepal

It’s now time to say goodbye. I’m leaving to Nepal hiking and taking lots of pictures for 1 month…

We are going to make the Everest Base Camp trek from Lukla. The adventure will take us threw different part of the region. From the mountains to the glaciers, we’ll discover the regions of the highest landscape in the world. My father who’s coming with us will stay at base camp because he’s attempting to summit mount Everest.

For those of you who are interested in following the adventure, we will try to update a website were you will be able to look at photos and do lots of reading. Probably going to be in french though :)

  • Upgrading to Windows 7

I’m a MAC user, why would I care about Windows 7 ? I think it’s only fair to keep an open mind and be always up to date of what’s out there. Being open minded often let you discover new things you’d miss otherwise !

So… On a Sunday afternoon, I decided to upgrade my PC which was suffering from Vista to Windows 7. The installation went very well… I wanted something simple and I got it. Windows 7 offers the best installation Microsoft did so far. Everything works well ! Yeah, it even boots much faster than Vista! I like that!

Have you seen this taskbar? I think it’s worst taskbar their did so far. This is very bad… It’s like a mix of the one MAC has and the stupid-transparent-memory-eater one Vista had. This doesn’t work for me…

Anyways, I’ll stop there. If your wondering which is better, just go with MAC. You’ll be satisfied. Microsft should do 2 things: Fire their Marketing & UI teams. Sorry guys and girls, but you’re not doing a good job these days.

Windows 7 to feels a bit like a very old music cd. It’s always good to have, but it’s very scratchy so it doesn’t sound good.

  • Hey, thats me!

Yep, thats when happens when you do stock photography… You never know where your own photo will end up.

Thats so funny, a friend of mine is in Mexico right now and got surprised one day when he saw my face on a huge poster… This photo was taken last year in California in the Yosemite park.

  • Inspiration: Package Design

Package design is a key component when it comes to selling a product. Too bad it’s not a reflex for everyone out there.

This post is a great source for inspiration.
